An important new addition has been made to the Uniform family of wide-format ink-jet printers in the form of a competitively priced flat-bed and roll-fed system. Available from B&P Graphic Systems at a price point of less than £40,000, the Uniform Grenadier UV comes in a choice of widths and with a maximum resolution of 720 dpi.

With two options of four or six colours plus white, this low cost printer heralds a range of features normally only found in higher priced machines. However, the Uniform Grenadier UV is designed to offer reliability as well as good print quality and is ideal for users with low- to medium-sized production requirements.

The Uniform Grenadier UV is available in a choice of widths, either 1.6 m or 2.5 m, with its front and rear tables enabling rigid materials up to 3.05 m to be used, aided by a vacuum platform to ensure media flatness. Its UV-curable inks are supplied in generous two litre tanks, with a built-in bulk ink sensor.

Change-over from rigid to flexible materials is quick and easy, with the Uniform Grenadier UV being designed to print to most substrates. Set-up is simple, as the printer features an automatic head adjustment, not normally available in printers within this price bracket.

The printer ships with Uniform’s TROOP! v6 RIP which offers true 16-bit work-flow options for improved colour rendering and gradients and no tonal banding.
